About Lesson

Humans have been engaging in cryonics since the 1960s, where the body is frozen in the hope of future revival when a cure for the cause of death is discovered. The process involves replacing water with antifreeze and storing the body in liquid nitrogen at -320 degrees Celsius. Despite this practice, the risk and uncertainty of waking individuals in the future remain high, with the first speculated successful thawing around 2045.

While certain species of fish and amphibians can naturally freeze themselves and revive in spring, cryonics for humans faces scepticism and ethical debates surrounding immortality and the unknown consequences.
